Dr. Esra Sağlam is a faculty member in the Department of Labor Economics at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna. In 2019, she graduated from the Social Policy doctoral program at Yıldırım Beyazıt University with a thesis titled “Turkish Diaspora Policy from the Perspective of Turkish Immigrants: Social Problems and Expectations - The Case of Austria.” Her areas of expertise include diaspora policies, migration and migrant policies, the Turkish community in Europe, far-right and racist movements, and EU-Turkey relations.
