Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Yiğit is a faculty member at the Air Warfare Institute of the National Defense University. He completed his undergraduate education in 2010 at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters, Department of Translation and Interpretation. He completed his master's degree at the University of Strasbourg ITIRI (Institute of Translation and International Relations) in the departments of International Relations and Development Cooperation in 2014. He completed his doctorate at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations, in 2020 with his thesis titled “Military Coup as a Tool of Foreign Intervention: The Case of West African Countries.” He received his associate professorship in “Field Studies” in 2024. He is currently working as a researcher at the Türkiye Research Foundation.
