Ramazan Akkır

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Akkır is a faculty member at the Faculty of Theology at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University. He completed his undergraduate education at Çukurova University in 2003. He received his master's degree in 2007 with a thesis titled “Religion and Conservatism in Turkey: The Case of Turgut Özal” from the Institute of Social Sciences at Çukurova University. He earned his doctorate in 2016 with a thesis titled “The Religious Policies of the Republican People's Party and the Perspective of its Own Base” from the Institute of Social Sciences at Sakarya University. His areas of expertise include the relationship between religion and politics, conservatism, Islamism, and radicalization. He works as a senior researcher at the Türkiye Research Foundation.
