Prof. Dr. Yusuf Özkır is a faculty member in the Journalism Department of the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul Medipol University. He completed his undergraduate education in the Journalism Department of the Faculty of Communication at Marmara University in 2003. Özkır received his master's degree from Marmara University in 2007 with a thesis titled “The Way Palestinian News is Reported in the Media.” He earned his doctorate from the same university in 2012 with a study titled “The History and General Publication Policy of Hürriyet Newspaper.” His areas of expertise include political communication, media-politics relations, and the history of the press in the Republican era. He works as a senior researcher at the Turkish Studies Foundation.
