Mehmet Çelik

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çelik received his doctoral title in 2017 from Gazi University with his dissertation titled “The Lebanese Armenian Diaspora.” He worked as a researcher at the American University of Beirut in 2016–2017 and continued his post-doctoral studies at the same university during the 2020–2021 term. In 2024–2025, he served as a post-doctoral researcher and visiting lecturer at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University. Currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Çelik conducts his academic research on the formation of ethnic identities and political transformations in modern Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel.
